Weigh In Marlboro: Dream a Little Dream

When local residents responded to the question of how they would spend their lottery winnings, they were not at a loss for ideas.

I can’t remember the last time I ever won a dime in a scratch-off! For many, the idea of winning is a thrill that keeps them returning to the store to purchase tickets each week. According to a report by CNN, the United States produced over $50 billion in lottery ticket sales in 2005. That’s an astounding number considering how many people walk away winners. So what keeps buyers in the game? These people have one thing in common…a dream. Everyone’s got one, right? Daydreams about a private island with a 50-foot yacht, a Ferrari in the driveway, a closet filled with designer shoes. Okay, you get it!

The New Jersey State Lottery slogan encourages people to "give your dreams a chance." LICN did just that (theoretically) and asked people around town what their lottery dreams are. As you can see, the possibilities are endless.
