Our Pick - Dr. Marshall P. Allegra
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Marshall P. Allegra has been in private practice in Monmouth County for 25 years. He specializes in minimally-invasive arthroscopic surgery; full and partial joint reconstruction; hand, foot and ankle surgery; fracture care; and non-surgical treatment options. He has performed more than 500 hip and knee replacements, and thousands of Dr. Allegra’s patients have successfully returned to their active lifestyles thanks to his high-quality, personalized, and innovative treatment options.
“When a patient comes to see me, I first exhaust all of their non-surgical care options,” Dr. Allegra explains. “But if a patient does require surgery, I rely on the latest techniques to ensure that their procedure is as minimally-invasive and pain-free as possible…so they can get right back to their lives and their favorite activities.”
Dr. Allegra is dedicated to providing one-on-one, personalized care to every patient. He remains in close communication with patients as he supervises each phase of their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. “When a patient comes to our practice, they are only going to see me — never another doctor,” he says. “We never keep patients waiting, and they will never be rushed out. Dr. Allegra is skilled at determining the causes of chronic and acute pain due to hip, knee, hand, shoulder and sports-related injuries. He focuses on restoring functionality and range of motion as quickly as possible. “I always take the time to speak with patients about their issue and their diagnosis, and make sure that they understand all of their treatment options,” he adds.
Dr. Allegra received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University, graduated from UAG Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey. He has been in private practice in Hazlet since 1988
