That is precisely what Dr. Huegel and her associates, mind-body specialist Dr. Carol Penn, D.O., MFA and certified behavioral counselor Lisa Kaplan provide. Patients are introduced to Medimorphosis during an initial consultation, and if they choose to enroll, receive a full medical evaluation during their first program visit.


Weight loss is addressed medically with research-based food plans, physical activity counseling, body composition analysis, medical monitoring, and when indicated, medications. NutriMed meal replacement supplements are also available.


Weight management strategies, tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, incorporate Cognitive Behavioral techniques that “change how you think to change what you do,” says Dr. Huegel. This helps patients replace old, self-sabotaging patterns with healthier attitudes and actions. Patients also learn coping skills, stress management and relaxation through yoga, tai chi, journaling and guided imagery.
